UGC-NET December 2025 Eligibility Criteria
- Master’s degree with at least 55% marks (General/EWS) or 50% (OBC-NCL/SC/ST/PwD/Third Gender)
- Candidates in their final master’s year or those awaiting results can apply provisionally
- Four-year undergraduate degree holders with minimum 75% marks eligible (specific conditions apply)

Selection Process
The selection process for UGC-NET December 2025 will include:
- Computer-Based Test (CBT): Two papers (Paper I: General, Paper II: Subject-specific), 3 hours total, Multiple Choice Questions.
- No negative marking.
- Merit & eligibility as per aggregate score in both papers and reservation/category rules.
- For Ph.D. admissions, NET marks count toward 70%; rest 30% at university viva/interview
