BSF Head Constable Recruitment 2025 Eligibility Criteria
- Head Constable (Radio Operator)
- Intermediate (10+2) with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics with 60% marks.
- OR Matriculation + 2-year ITI in Electronics/Radio/Computer related trades.
- Head Constable (Radio Mechanic)
- Intermediate (10+2) with PCM with 60% marks.
- ORMatriculation + 2-year ITI in Electronics/Radio/Mechanic/Electrician/ITI trades related to Radio Mechanic.
- Nationality: Indian citizen
- Medical standards: Physical, eyesight and medical fitness as per BSF rules.
Salary for BSF Head Constable Recruitment 2025
- Pay Level 4 of the 7th CPC
- Pay Scale: ₹25,500 to ₹81,100
- Additional Allowances: Dearness Allowance, Ration money, Dress allowance, Border area allowance, Transport allowance, LTC, accommodation or HRA, and pension benefits as per new pension scheme.

Selection Process
The selection process for BSF Head Constable Recruitment 2025 will include:
- Phase 1: Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET) using RFID.
- Tests include height, chest, weight, running, long jump, and high jump.
- Ex-servicemen and departmental candidates exempted from PST/PET.
- Phase 2: Computer Based Test (CBT)
- 100 multiple choice questions (200 marks)
- Subjects: Physics (40), Mathematics (20), Chemistry (20), English & GK (20)
- Negative marking: 0.25 marks deducted for each wrong answer
- Qualifying marks:
- UR/OBC/EWS: 38%
- SC/ST: 33%
- Compassionate: 20%
- Phase 3: Document Verification + Dictation Test and Paragraph Reading (Only for RO post) + Detailed Medical Examination (DME)
- Final merit for RO = CBT marks + Dictation Test (50 marks)
- Final merit for RM = CBT marks only
- Tie-breaking as per guidelines – higher marks, in age order, alphabetical, academic merit.
