- Graduate Degree from a recognized university
- Diploma in Sports Coaching in the relevant sport from the Netaji Subhas National Institute of Sports (Sports Authority of India)
- Post Graduate Diploma in Sports Coaching from LNIPE Gwalior/Central Sports University/UGC/Bihar Sports University or other recognized sports universities
- Sports Achievement: Should have represented the country in recognized competitions, or the state in national/international championships (Olympics/Asian/Commonwealth games), or participated twice in all India inter-university/recognized junior/national youth championships, or three times in inter-services/police/railway championships
